For our latest installment of the Boundless NY 5 Questions, we hit up Laurence and Josh from NYC’s own Proof 7 . Get learned.

1. There is a underlying theme to the new Proof 7 line you just dropped. Can you elaborate on the inspiration for these designs?

This collection brought together dope designers from all over the world, we were inspired by the sporadic and crazed style of Gonzo journalism created by Hunter Thompson and its seeming randomness but fluid connectivity. Our connections are dope design from some of the best that do it and the chronsby, spliffs, and hash. The HST tribute is a collaborative effort between two distinct designers. Luca Lurenti (MkLane) from Rome and Omar Vega (No Love Lost). Designers like Aerosyn Lex the Creative Director of the KDU, Karl Kwasny (Monaux) all the way in Australia, and Electric Heat’s Nigel Dennis all put their skills to work to create this new seasons fiyah..

2. Hudson Street is home to some dope eateries. Where does the P7 crew get down and grub in Triangle Below Canal street ?

MMMMMMhhhh. We got diesel and Tribeca has crazy food. Without a doubt we are in Cody’s Bar & Grill on the corner of Dominick and Hudson heavy. For those that have the distinguished privilege of knowing Vic the Scotish barkeep then there is no need to elaborate…Giorgione 508s- best meatball sandwich, Bubby’s bangin Veggie burger, Mezzogiorno’s thin crust pizza, Kin Khao’s full fried fish, coffee & doughnuts at Dylan Prime, uuuuugggggghhh. The one consistency is bigLs and big eats… ohhh if if you are privileged to know the finest pleasure of family style at F.illi Ponte’s then there’s no need to even discuss…

3. What music are you listening to right now?

That BeatBasement station on itunes radio is crazy a recently discovered gem. Otherwise can’t not fuck with the new Ghost, Siegels got some bangers…Our boy Prosper helped lace the new HiTek, just recently got the gift of the weekly knocks courtesy of Stampede radio on East Village Radio. Still bangin that Prodigy Return of Mac and waiting for HNIC 2, fucking w/ the new Mega and all Mega, Sean Price had one of the hardest albums of the year, any J Love mixtape is good to go, the whole Stones Throw, the LOX, . Fuckin with Coltrane and DIzzy kinda heavy right now. Could use some new Andre 3000, some new Little Brother jons, on any given day at Rival we’ll run into Juju, Tek, Jeru, or other OGs who are continuing to put out heat.
