LSD AND THE NOBEL PRIZE...
Dr Kary Mullis was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1993 for his development of the Polymerase Chain Reaction. This passage was taken from his book Dancing Naked . Shout to my King Stampede heads on this one.
In 1966 I wanted to try LSD. My wife, Richards, helped me pack up the Impala, we put our daughter Louise in the back seat, and we drove to Berkeley for graduate school…
...During dinner, Brad gave me what was called a double-domed 1000 microgram Owsley. He had bought it for five dollars. It was soon to become illegal. I didn’t finish dinner. I started laughing. I got up from the table and realized, on the way to the couch, that everything I knew was based on a false premise. I fell down through the couch into another world.
Brad put Mysterious Mountain by Hovhaness on the stereo and kept playing it over and over. It was the perfect background for my journey. I watched somebody else’s beliefs become irrelevant. Who was that Kary Mullis character? That Georgia Tech boy. I wasn’t afraid. I wasn’t anything. I noticed that time did not extend smoothly – that it was punctuated by moments – and I fell down into a crack between two moments and was gone.
My body lay on the couch for almost four hours. I felt like I was everywhere. I was thrilled. I’d been trapped in my own experiences – now I was free. The world was filled with incredibly tiny spaces where no one could find me or care what I was doing. I was alone. My mind could see itself.
Brad had given me 1000 micrograms because he wanted me to have a thorough experience. I think he said “blow your ass away.” With 100 micrograms you feel a little weird, you might hallucinate, and you can go dancing, but you know you’re on acid. You’re aware that you’re having a trip and the things that you see are hallucinations. You know that you should not respond to them. When you take 1000 micrograms of LSD, you don’t know you’ve taken anything. It just feels like that’s the way it is. You might suddenly find yourself sitting on a building in Egypt three thousand years ago, watching boats on the Nile….
About five o’clock in the morning I began to come back to earth. The most amazing aspect of the entire experience was that I landed back in the middle of my normal life. It was so sweet to hear the birds, to see the sun come up, to watch my little girl wake up and start playing. I appreciated my life in a way I never had before.

THATS GANGSTER...
Dublin’s famous Guinness brewery has been the victim of an audacious theft.
A man drove a truck into the brewery on Victoria Quay, Dublin 8, yesterday evening; hitched up a trailer containing 450 kegs of different beers; and drove off into Dublin’s traffic just as rush-hour got under way.
The haul contained 180 kegs of Guinness, 180 kegs of Budweiser and 90 kegs of Carlsberg and has a total value of €64,000. In the pubs, the loot would represent approximately 40,500 pints and a whopping bar tab of approximately €160,000.
The raid comes at one of the busiest times of the year for the brewery, which supplies 13,000 pubs across Ireland that are preparing for the brisk Christmas trading period.
Officers in Kevin Street Garda Station are investigating but a Garda spokesman said there was no sign of the missing truck, trailer or its driver.
Drinks company Diageo, which owns Guinness, said the raid was “very serious” and unprecedented. “We have never had a breach of this scale”, said spokeswoman Grainne Mackin. “A full investigation is taking place into what happened and how.

5 QUESTIONS
Second installment of 5 Questions.
This time we hit up Milkcrate Athletics founder, musician and world traveler: Aaron La Crate. His new Holiday just dropped at Boundless NY. We hold you down.
1. Milkcrate has been around since the beginning of this, where does the inspiration for the brand come from?
My inspiration really comes from my reality or things that I’ve been doing since I was a kid. Growing up in Baltimore, which is and was a very crime ridden gutter city I spent a lot of time out on the street entertaining myself.
I def got an early start in all of this music, street art stuff, so its really embedded in me and especially my design style – when your doing this since your 8 or 9 years old, and following guys like haring, warhol, stash, dondi, futura, as a child your influences run deep. Things like being under a bridge with a dead pitbull become inspiration.
2. YoYo NY has consistently brought the house down at Love. Whats the key to throwing a successful monthly in New York?
Thanks guys. You know it all falls in the realm of things that I enjoy doing, The YoYo NY party is a hobby for all of us, were all busy with a lot of music projects, our labels, fashion etc. Mark Ronson is my partner in the event and a old good buddy, he has had the most amazing year ever producing Amy and loads of other stuff, Seb and Leo are our boys from YoYo LDN and both are heavy music players in London.
Were all friends and YoYo NY is just a time once a month that we all get to see each other and play our new tracks, exclusives, and have fun – and that totally reflects in the atmosphere of the party.
Were on our 10th party and we’ve had some major talent in there. Were just focused on our own music Im the Gutter Kid – repping B-more party music, Mark does his thing, Seb and Leo hold down the hip, hop, ragga, and LDN flavors. Were all party djs doing different things but all support each other movements – we understand that the work we do is crucial for NYC and music in general.
3. Boundless NY / King Stampede is starting our East Village Radio show on Thursday at Midnight. What advice can you give from your EVR experiences.
Ive held down Marks show quite a bit when hes out of town. EVR is fun as hell – just get loads of imported beer, thats a must.
4. The new Ghostface or the new Wu ?
Ghost of course.
5. What one issue do you want to air out? Something on your mind? Give the Boundless readers a piece of your mind. Anything goes here.
Im all good. This year has been amazing and Ive accomplished some goals that I hadnt even set yet. Shout out to Boundless!

N.A.S.A. HAS A SEX TAPE...
US and Russian astronauts have had sex in space for separate research programmes on how human beings might survive years in orbit, according to a book published yesterday…
He cites a confidential Nasa report on a space shuttle mission in 1996. A project codenamed STS-XX was to explore sexual positions possible in a weightless atmosphere.
Twenty positions were tested by computer simulation to obtain the best 10, he says. “Two guinea pigs then tested them in real zero-gravity conditions. The results were videotaped but are considered so sensitive that even Nasa was only given a censored version.”

THE FUTURE OF SATELLITE RADIO....
Should be decided today.
Basically both of these companies would go completely broke unless they merge. This has gotten the National Association of Broadcasters panties in a bunch, as you can see by their uncreative and completely misleading ad above.
Because who would actually need to listen to Programmed Radio when you have this and this . Less listeners, equals less ad revenue, which means corporate assholes that have been ruining radio for years will have to go somewhere else to cake up.
According to them a decision by the Justice Department should be made by the end of the day on Wall Street today.
