5 QUESTIONS

166

5 Questions with Mikhail from Mishka.

Mishka has had a big year from the Boundless NY perspective. You’ve guys have been killing it with your full line without compromising or catering to whats trendy.

1. For those who don’t know what is Mishka? What does Mishka mean and how did Mishka come about?

Mishka means Bear Cub in russian. We’re all about Horror Punk and Dance Moshing maniacs in cold blood!

2. Mishka has been doing sick collaborations this year. Tell us more about your collaborations with Derek Riggs of Iron Maiden, Mackdaddy and the upcoming collabo with JK5 from Saved.

We’ve been fans of Derek’s artwork since we were children so it was a real honor to have him do a painting for us. It’ll go down as one of my most cherished moments!

The Mackdaddy collaboration came about from our mutual friendship and the admiration between both brands.

The JK5 project is going to be huge. Joseph is one of the sickest artists working today and I don’t just mean tattooing. We’re so honored to not only have such a great friend like Joseph but to also have him bless us with his amazing art.

The collection for the most part bases itself on a collage we did with Joseph that features work appearing in his amazing SUBCONSIOTHESAURUSNEX book. there are some sick cut & sew pieces, a New Era like no one has ever seen before and some amazing Tees. We hope this collection helps take Joseph into another stratosphere.

3. What music are you listening to of late?

Well I just did my top ten albums of 2007 up on our Bloglin. you can check it out here . But lately I’ve mostly been listening to a lot of old EBM, Cold and Darkwave and Thrash Metal.

4. Hanukkah or Christmas?

Well I’m jewish… but I mean i don’t really have a preference for either or. I guess I celebrate both depending on my company.

5. This is the part where you get to vent or big up any one thing you like.

I want to big up Ron Morelli, Mr. Ziti, the Maltese Falcon for drawing the ire of our customers everywhere.

Check out the Mishka Holiday drop here .

Boundless New York; bringing you the brands you want without a corporate bankroll.

We’re just 12 heads in our cramped Brooklyn store doing this for the love of it… and for the interviews.
Thanks again Mikhail. Mishka is taking over, 1 moshing horor punk at a time.

THROW BACK AT NOON....

One, two, who got more style, the son do

Throwback to 2004…. TK this song is way better than this one.

Verse 2
I take summers off, cause I love winter beef
Started ‘87, wit the shotty in the sheep
Three-quarter length beige, dressed to kill
Bust a shell at the ground, pellets hit the crowd
Nobody like a snitch, everybody shut they mouth
Woolrich, Carhart, gun powder stains
Smellin like trees, sensimille on the brain
Skeemin on ya girls, bambooze or ya chain
Got ill up on the train, twistin off a cap
Of a English in my vain, might of pushed you on the tracks
Deaf crack fiends, who can’t speak, scream noises
Cause she bought a jum of soap, from one of my boys, it’s
.... Just another day in the hood
And I’m, wit some wild brothers, up to no good
We saw the movies, like Tony Montana, and ‘em
But our style was let them pile then, we robbin ‘em
Money dudes, make ‘em come up out they shoes
Run they jewels, word is bond, where my man Nino goin
And I had to make a song, speakin on my old life
For the thief’s who come out at night

SPACEBALLS...

162

At least his wife can cook…Ray Kelly, this is by far the least harmful thing that anyone in your gang has ever done. Give duke his job back….and if your wifey wants to make you some Spaceballs, here is a recipe for your ride or die chick. Don’t say Boundless never gave you nothing…

A US counter-terrorism police officer who says he failed a drugs test because his wife spiked his meatballs with marijuana is suing to get his job back.

nthony Chiofalo, of New York Police Department (NYPD), has asked Manhattan Supreme Court to challenge his firing.

He was suspended in 2005 after 22 years of service, for failing a random test.

His wife told investigators she had secretly drugged his meatballs hoping a failed test would force him to retire. NYPD said the story was “not credible”.

Both Mr Chiofalo and his wife Catherine have passed lie detector tests about how the marijuana entered the police officer’s system.

Mrs Chiofalo told investigators she had put enough marijuana for six cigarettes in her meatball recipe in July 2005, according to court papers.

She testified at a hearing that she just wanted her husband “not to die of a heart attack or get killed” while still in service, the Associated Press news agency quotes the court papers as saying.

“I wanted him to be around to help raise my son,” she said. She had reportedly expected him to retire in 2004 after 20 years in the force.

Mr Chiofalo said his wife had marijuana in the house because she used it to alleviate suffering caused by chronic back pain.

An administrative judge recommended that Mr Chiofalo be reinstated to the Joint Terrorism Task Force but Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly rejected that opinion and fired him.

Mr Chiofalo hopes the court will rule his dismissal unconstitutional and force the NYPD to re-hire him.
