Searching for a means to shed light on specific art, peoples, and cultures that were being overlooked, Christian Banks decided to create a publication that would provide a space for artists, skateboarders, photographers, and writers to showcase their work. What started out as a small, black and white zine eventually developed into The Party’s Over. : a full-color, quarterly published magazine run collectively by a group of New York-based artists. Coinciding with the publication, the collective creates limited edition t-shirts in very small runs, limited edition prints, as well as various audiovisual works.
